Safety is critical when it comes to the trucking industry. Here at Real Trucking, we have a great track record of maintaining our safety numbers at a good rating. In the 13 years of Real Trucking being in business, we have kept up the standards required and have elevated them even higher to ensure the well-being of truckers, cargo, and those they share the road with are safe and sound at the end of the day.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, also known as the FMCSA sets regulations to enhance highway safety, they are strict enforcers of everything from trucker’s driving hours to vehicle maintenance which is why Real Trucking is serious about informing every single trucker that comes through its doors that we mean it when we say, Safety First! At Real, safety is ingrained in all aspects of our operations.

The FMCSA was established in the year 2000 as a separate agency of the Department of Transportation. This agency is responsible for overseeing and regulating safety oversight of commercial vehicles such as large trucks and buses. Their main mission is to prevent crashes that cause fatalities and injuries.

The FMCSA guides its officers to check on truckers on the road who operate large vehicles to review Hours of Service (HOS), screen for drug and alcohol use, and ensure vehicles are in optimal condition. If any truckers on the road are not compliant, it may result in fines, penalties, and possibly even suspension of operations. As a result, Real Trucking strictly adheres to all FMCSA regulations, prioritizing safety above all else.

From day one of starting with Real Trucking, we ensure that truckers review FMCSA’s regulations and company policies. Comprehensive coaching equips truckers with the proper skills needed to be a safe and stellar trucker. Additionally, we advise truckers to regularly fill out inspection and maintenance forms to prevent mechanical failures.

Real Trucking also utilizes GPS Tracking and other technology to assist truckers manage their speed, being alerted if they are entering a road where semi trucks are not permitted, and other instances where Safety may be compromised.

We ensure to go through safety audits from third parties to be on par with compliance with the industry standard.

At Real Trucking we recognize those who strive to drive safely. We recognize and reward safe truckers who partake in exemplary safety practices and foster a culture of accountability. We have awarded truckers in the past for extraordinary accomplishments such as driving 1,000,000,000 accident-free.
